Finding Horses

In the market for a new horse? Lynn has contacts across the world who can help you find a proper match.  Whether you are looking for a low level packer, a young fancy prospect, or a going upper level mount, Lynn is happy to help you find your ideal horse.

Teaching

Lynn instructs all types of riders in lessons, clinics, competitions, and other riding venues.  She is available for individual or small group lessons on your own horse at Handlen Farm and locally around Middleburg. Lynn also provides course walks and coaching at competitions.

Lynn focuses on teaching upper level eventers, talented young riders and ambition amateurs. While she specializes in eventing, she also instructs riders in the individual phases of the sport—dressage, show jumping, and cross country.

Lynn also has extensive experience with teaching clinics and camps at locations all around the country. In addition to her skills as a mounted instructor, Lynn is a charasmatic and educated speaker who is excellent at teaching horse management, grooming, and other related areas. Training

Handlen Farm has several stalls available for horses in full or partial training with Lynn.  Horses may also be shipped in for training rather than staying on premises. Every horse in training receives a customized program based on its needs, temperament, experience, and its owner’s goals. Lynn is very hands-on with each horse in training, ensuring your horse is getting the best possible education every day. She personally supervises all aspects of a horse’s care, including feeding and medical care in consultation with veterinarians and farriers.

Lynn is also available to compete your horse if desired. While some people choose send their horse into full training with Lynn to gain competition experience, others prefer to do much of the riding themselves—having her ride once a week and taking a lesson or two in between. Each training package is worked out on an individual basis. You always have full access to your horse if it resides at Handlen Farm.

Please contact Lynn to discuss how to tailor a program to suit your needs.
