The Chronicle of the Horse Blog: Ice Cream Stick Wisdom Makes All The Difference

Sometimes, the universe sends you a message via ice cream stick.

 This winter has been trying.

I began 2014 completely motivated and excited to build upon the successful preceding year. This year I decided to be a little selfish, and for one month I left my students and clients behind so I could devote a little time to my own training. While I took a big financial hit, I headed to Ocala with just my more experienced horses. I would then meet my students, clients and the rest of the horses in Aiken mid-February.

Screen Shot 2014-01-27 at 8.59.19 AM

Donner has been named The Chronicle of the Horse's 2013 Eventing Horse of the Year - such a tremendous honor and everyone at Team LSE is grateful for the support. There is a great article in this week's issue about Donner including a super quote from David O'Connor "You learn a lot from horses that aren't the easiest. Lynn's got great patience and skill. She gave Donner the time when he needed it. Now she can really press on. Lynn has been a really underrated rider for a long time. This is a horsewoman who makes her own horses."
